Library suffers damage after pipe burst: Director commends response




Fire crews responded to the Duxbury Free Library last Tuesday after a pipe burst on the second floor near the reference area.

The pipe, which was a fire suppression sprinkler system pipe, burst Tuesday around lunchtime, setting off the fire alarm in the library. Library director Carol Jankowski said at first library staff and patrons believed it to be a fire alarm.
