Tinkertown residents are banding together to oppose the removal of 20 mature trees along Elm Street by electric company Eversource, saying cutting down the trees would forever change their historic neighborhood.
Dan Kostreva of Elm Street told the Selectboard at its Monday meeting that he and his neighbors were against the tree cutting. He said he represented the 137 homeowners in the Tinkertown Neighborhood Association.
