Veterans Day program. 11 a.m. Duxbury American Legion Post 223 will hold its annual Veterans Day celebration at the Post Hall, 5 West St. The community is invited to this event.

The Art Complex Museum presents: “The Immediacy of Abstraction.” Artists’ reception 1:30-3:30 p.m. Exhibit through Feb. 18, 2018. Diane Novetsky and Jo Ann Rothschild, two New England painters, share an expressionist style of painting, an emphasis on the primacy of color, gesture, and process, and a concern for the nuances of “touch,” or paint handling. 189 Alden St. Free admission, open to all.
