Duxbury’s Fifth Annual Oktoberfest. 6:30-10 p.m. Under the tents at Snug Harbor. Tickets $35 individual, $65 couple. Event partnership between Duxbury Lions Club and Duxbury Rotary Club and town of Plymouth to benefit Habitat of Humanity of Greater Plymouth to build homes for military veterans.

Fall Litter Sweep. 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Annual event set this year from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Come to Tarkiln Community Center, 245 Summer St. (Route 53) for supplies and registration.
