Voters agree to get rid of plastic
Thin, two-handled plastic shopping bags will soon be a thing of the past in Duxbury as Town Meeting voters overwhelmingly supported a ban of the convenient carriers. Late Monday night, residents at the second and final session of the annual Town Meeting voted 131-38 to approve Article 42, a citizen’s petition to ban single-use plastic shopping bags in Duxbury.
