PUBLIC HEARING

The Duxbury Conservation Commission will hold a Public Hearing in the Mural Meeting Room, Lower Level, Town Hall, under the Town of Duxbury Wetlands Bylaw, Chapter 9 and Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, MGL, Ch. 131, Section 40, on Tuesday evening, September 25, 2018 at 7:20 p.m. on the request of the Duxbury Bay Maritime School to demolish and rebuild a building as described in a Notice of Intent filed with the Conservation Commission on September 6, 2018. Said project is located at 457 Washington Street, Lot #118-762-101 of the Duxbury Assessors Map.

Town of Duxbury Massachusetts DUXBURY PLANNING BOARD

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Duxbury Planning Board will be conducting an Administrative Site Plan Review pursuant to Section 615 of the Duxbury Protective Bylaw for a proposal put forward by Duxbury Police Department at 155 Mayflower Street, Duxbury, MA. The meeting for Planning Board Review is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 7:15 PM at Duxbury Town Hall, Mural Room, lower level.

The proposed site consists of 18.99 acres owned by Town of Duxbury (Police Station) identified as 155 Mayflower Street (Assessor’s ID 092-500- 039). The property is located in the Residential Compatibility zoning district and a portion is within the Aquifer Protection Overlay District. The applicant proposes to construct 20 new parking spaces. TOWN OF DUXBURY INVITATION FOR BID

The Duxbury Town Manager as Chief Procurement Officer, Duxbury, MA (the Owner), is requesting sealed bids for Duxbury Police Parking Lot Expansion, Contract 2018-17.

Sealed bids for General Contractor Work, endorsed “Bid for Duxbury Police Parking Lot Expansion, Contract 2018-17, Duxbury, MA” will be received at the Municipal Services office located at 878 Tremont Street, Duxbury, MA 02332, until 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at which time and place bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.

The work includes, but is not limited to, construction of a new parking lot, including clearing and grubbing, grading, gravel fill, gravel base, bituminous concrete pavement, stormwater facilities, concrete sidewalk, wood guardrail and appurtenant work.

Contract Documents may be obtained via email request to woods@town.duxbury. ma.us on or after Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 8:00 a.m.

Bid Security of Five percent (5%) of the General Bid amount in the form of a certified check or bid bond, payable to the Owner.

The successful General Bidder must furnish 100 percent (100%) Performance Bond and 100 percent (100%) Labor and Materials Bond.

The successful bidder will be required to complete the entire project by November 30, 2018.

MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL LAWS, CHAPTER 30, §39M, AS AMENDED TO DATE APPLIES. Contract 2018-17 is subject to the minimum wage rates issued by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, in accordance with Chapter 149, Sections 26 and 27D. It is the responsibility of the contractor, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract.

Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Engineer, or their respective employees arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation or recommendation of any bid.

All Submitters are to execute the Non-Collusion/ Fraud Certification and also the Tax Certification Attestation which are part of the IFB Documents. Failure to submit these completed forms will not allow the Town of Duxbury to consider your proposal.

The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals either in whole or in part or to waive any irregularities or defects in any proposal should it be in the best interest of the Town of Duxbury.

NOTICE OF CANCELED PUBLIC HEARING

The Board of Appeals meeting scheduled in the Mural Room at Town Hall, 878 Tremont Street, on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. will not include a public hearing to consider the application of Kristin N. P. & John Rappe of 20 Ryans Lane (No. 042-927- 008 of the Duxbury Assessors Map) for a Special Permit to operate a home office. The Duxbury Protective Bylaw allows for home occupation permits issued by the Zoning Enforcement Officer, not the Board of Appeals. Any questions regarding the change may be directed to the Municipal Services Department.
